Mission is one of our most interactive, wholesome ministries. It involves bringing an entire school or parish together to help them to discover what it means to be part of a community. In order to make sure that the students get the best experience possible, a typical Mission Weeks can be between 3 – 5 days depending on the size of the school.
Over the course of the Mission Week, we work with every year group on different subtopics based around the main theme of the week such as Lent or Advent. Missions are all about the students learning, engaging, and acting upon what they have discovered during the week, so we arrange a wide range of high-energy activities, games, reflections, prayers, and arts and crafts work. There’s also the option of hosting special lunch time workshops and specific focuses for school or parish action groups. The staff don’t get left out either! We prepare twilight prayers, reflections, and workshops to make sure that all staff get the opportunity to immerse themselves in the spirit of a Mission.
“Particularly for high schools, Mission provides a rare but often unforgettable experience that will leave the school’s staff and students buzzing with excitement and energy for days on end.”
For each Mission, we work closely alongside the school’s RE Department and/or Chaplain in order prepare and deliver the highest quality experience. We aim to provide an experience that does not waste valuable learning time but instead enriches and broadens the students’ knowledge.
