“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.”

Second Thessalonians 3:16

We’ve come to the end of another working year for Just Youth and so, like every year, it’s time to say goodbye to some members of the team. This year we bid the warmest of farewells to Lizzie, Sophie, Caroline, Tien, and Jessica as they each move onto the next step of their journey.

Sophie and Caroline will be going to university, one round the corner and the other in a corner of Germany. Lizzie will be taking on a pastoral role in her hometown. Tien will be working with our sister charity Revive in his second year of his scholastic training. Jessica will be helping to keep things in order at our Spiritan HQ in her second year volunteering with the UK Spiritans.

While it is with a heavy heart that we see all of them go, we know that their year with Just Youth was but one small part of a big plan has for each and every one of them. We cherish and celebrate the many memories we’ve made together – in the community, in the office, and in all the schools and parishes. From Salford Diocese to St Sebastian’s, they have built strong bonds and left a lasting spiritual legacy in the local community and beyond. We thank everyone who has supported and befriended them during their time at Just Youth, and of course we thank God for bringing them to us during a time where we needed them most (though we may not have known it at the time).

This year’s leavers are a truly special and gifted team. We pray for all of God’s blessings to shine down on them and ask St Christopher to intercede for us as they make their journeys – short and long – to their next destinations.

Keep your eyes peeled for photos and videos from their Leavers’ Mass and Celebration!

If you have any memories of meeting or working with the team this year, please comment below or send us an email. We’d love to hear from you and share these memories!
